Gravity launches an 'all-purpose' AI agent for sustainability teams

Sustainability software company Gravity has launched what it describes as the first all-purpose AI agent for sustainability teams — an agentic, API-based assistant intended to take on the repetitive work of sustainability data gathering and reporting, as reported by ESG News.

The pitch, per Gravity's announcement, is that sustainability teams spend most of their time assembling and formatting data rather than acting on it, and that an agent plugged into a company's systems can do the assembling. The launch lands in a market where disclosure workload is rising on both sides of the Atlantic — CSRD in the EU, and in the UK the transition from TCFD-aligned rules toward mandatory UK SRS reporting.

What it means for UK reporters

For UK companies, the direction of travel matters more than any single product. The FCA's CP26/5 proposes mandatory UK SRS S2 reporting for in-scope listed companies from accounting periods beginning 1 January 2027, with Scope 3 on comply-or-explain a year later — precisely the data-heavy work agentic tooling targets.
