Independence
SRS Report is an independent reference publication on UK sustainability reporting. The News Desk is not a regulated firm, is not authorised or regulated by the FCA or any other body, holds no certifications or accreditations, and has no clients, sponsors or commercial relationships with the companies, products or people it reports on. Attribution
Every story starts from reporting done elsewhere. We name and link the original source by name in the first two paragraphs of every article, and every source consulted is listed in a dedicated “Sources” block at the end of the piece. We do not present another outlet’s reporting as our own firsthand investigation, and we do not claim to have interviewed, contacted or verified facts directly with the companies or people named unless we say so explicitly.
No negative coverage of named companies or people
The News Desk does not publish negative or critical coverage of named companies or individuals. Stories are selected and framed as neutral, factual reports on developments relevant to UK sustainability reporting — product launches, acquisitions, regulatory developments and market moves — not investigations, opinion or commentary on any named party’s conduct.
AI-assistance disclosure
Story discovery and initial drafting are AI-assisted: candidate stories are found via automated search, and first drafts are generated by a large language model working from a fixed editorial brief that requires source attribution, bans invented facts, figures or quotes, and bans negative framing of named parties. Every draft is reviewed by a human editor via pull request before publication; nothing is auto-published. This disclosure will be updated if that review step changes.
Facts and figures
Regulatory facts and dates (for example, FCA CP26/5 timelines, SECR thresholds or ESOS Phase 4 deadlines) are drawn from primary sources — legislation.gov.uk, gov.uk, and FCA publications — and cited inline. We never invent a fact, figure or quote, and we never attribute a quote we cannot source.
Corrections
If you believe a story is inaccurate or unfair, tell us via our contact page. We correct material errors promptly and note the correction on the article concerned.
